Memphis Holland has enjoyed a diversified career managing a variety of businesses
as co-publisher for economic and marketing supplements on foreign countries
in national and international magazines to overseeing an import/export company.
From 1987 through 1996, Ms. Holland owned a company, DH Marketing Group, which
created and implemented business plans and investment packages for international
companies. Beginning in the late 1980s, Ms. Holland co-founded a development
company, Sacred Grounds, LLC, to rehabilitate a distressed Main Street in rural
Virginia. Sacred Grounds restored historic buildings in their original styles,
opened businesses and created residential apartments to repopulate the area.
With a move to northern New Mexico, Ms. Holland co-founded HomePlace Holdings,
LLC, a real estate development firm. For more information on that company, see
homeplacedeveloper.com. The company continues to have holdings in Angel Fire,
New Mexico and Front Royal, Virginia with an interest in strengthening the existing
economy though commercial and residential developments.
Ms. Holland and her husband have returned to their roots, Washington, D.C. Holland
Development Group focuses their attention on urban and hotel developments with
a long-term goal of sustainability.
Ms. Holland has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Mount Vernon
College, Washington, DC and was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in
Universities and Colleges, 1988.
